Resumo
The influence of temperature on
the biology of Triatoma platensis,
1913 (Hemiptera, Reduviidae) was
studied in order to obtain a larger
number of triatominae reared in
laboratory, to use in xenodiagnosis
and to able to get information for their
proper control.
The experiments were performed
in two climatized chambers both with
humidity of 70±5% RU and
photoperiod of 12 hours. One was maintained at 25±0,5°C and the other
at 30± 1°C.
The mean duration of the
evolutive cycle for males and females,
were, respectively, of 241,7 and 242,0
days, at 25°C, and 161,7 and 161,8
days, at 30°C.
