Genes de resistência a β-lactamases na água bruta do Rio Meia Ponte – Goiás

Resumo

The Meia Ponte River is one of the most important water bodies in GoiásState, and it benefits not only the population, but also the environment. However, with the increase ofantibiotics and pollutants present in the water river, it has contributed to the increase in antimicorbials resistance and has caused damage to the health of the population consuming this water. The objective was to demonstrate and identify bacteria resistant to β-lactamase, using conventional PCR methods. We obtained an amplification of 11.1% for the blaCTX-M gene, 66.7% for the blaTEM and blaKPC genes of the nine samples of Escherichia colitested in this study. For the blaSME gene, amplification was not obtained within the samples. The identification of these bacterial resistances is extremely important, as they cancause a health-related problem, making it difficult in the treatment of the patient who obtains contact with these resistant bacteria.
