Resumo
In order to verify íhe prevalence of Cryptosporidium, in human individuais,
through the Indírect Immunofluorescence test (IIF), será from 74 immunodeficient
patients were examined, with an IgG occurrence of 55,40%. We have verified an
estimated global prevalence of 9,05% in 210 será of examined children. The antigen
employed was the one obtained from the distai portion of the posterior third of the
ileum of calves experimentally inoculated with C. parvum. The IIF test sensitivity,
taking the faecal smears as a pattern, was of 79,27%. The prevalence in será from 44
countrymen examined, was 6,8% (3 positive cases) at l :40 dilution.
