Resumo
The authors studied epídemiologically
forty-seven cases of Human
Rabies during the period of
1971 to 1980 in the Tropical Diseases
'Hospital in Goiânia - Goiás State.
The results were:
Predominance on males, high
incidence of cases under twenty
years old - and country men.
There was a high incidence of
cases from the city of Goiânia -
Goiás State as well from the rural
área.
The dog was the most common
agent of disease transmition. There
was predominance of multiple and
deep lesions in the arms.
The period of incubations was
foríy to sixty days, with predominance
of fever, hydrophoby and aerophoby
as the first sigmptoms.
The maximum survival rate was
eight days.
