| dc.description.abstract | Bocavirus Humano (HBoV), recentemente descrito, tem sido associado à infecção respiratória e a gastroenterite aguda, principalmente em crianças, mas também a indivíduos de outras faixas etárias em todo o mundo. Diferentes investigações têm sido realizadas em termos da epidemiologia do agente o que vem colaborando para o conhecimento a respeito da importância do vírus em doenças de humanos. Não obstante ainda são escassas informações relativas à estrutura, genômica e biologia do agente além de métodos de prevenção, controle e diagnóstico laboratorial. Neste sentido o presente manuscrito traz uma abordagem baseada da literatura pretendendo reunir as informações existentes e assim contribuir para o conhecimento maior sobre o agente. | |
| dc.description.resumo | Human Bocavirus (HBoV), recently described, has been associated with respiratory infection and acute gastroenteritis, mainly in children, but also in individuals of other age groups throughout the world. Different investigations have been carried out in terms of the epidemiology of the agent which has contributed to the knowledge about the importance of the virus in diseases of humans. Nevertheless, information regarding the structure, genomics and biology of the agent, as well as methods of prevention, control and laboratory diagnosis are still scarce. In this sense the present manuscript brings an approach based on the literature intending to gather the existing information and thus contribute to the greater knowledge about the agent. | |
