Item O lar (in)existente: análise de edifícios de acolhimento institucional para crianças e adolescentes(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-05-28) Batista, Marlyene Ferreira; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Teixeira, Anelizabete AlvesThe assistance to minors in situations of risk and/or vulnerability has gone a long way until reaching the care service system established nowadays. There were centuries of struggles and movements so that, gradually, laws that demanded the improvement of the protection of these minors were created. Children and adolescents, who pass through the care service system, experienced negative experiences, along with traumas, and, without option, move from their homes to an institutional home. A concrete home can cover part of a psychosocial deficit. Thus, considering the importance of this concrete home, the main theme of the dissertation is the (non) existence of the home within the care service system for children and adolescents. This research, approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Goiás, aims to demonstrate the value of architecture within institutional homes, as well as to answer the following questions: can architecture contribute to the meaning of home? How does it influence the care service system? With these aspects being implemented, the resident could be able to feel as belonging and inhabitant as the house, the space, is transformed in a place, a home. For this purpose, research was used, from aspects inseparable from the meaning of home: habitation, territoriality and identity in spaces, domesticity and common everyday life and, consequently, with positive memory as a symbol of affection for a place. Regarding the methodology, were used bibliographic reviews; analysis of the trajectory of the care service for children and adolescents in situations of risk and/or vulnerability; primary documents; on-site visits to an institutional home; photographs of the institutions acquired on-site; obtaining drawings through a focus group with children and adolescents living in institutional homes; image and word dynamics, as well as interviews with the children and the employees. With the results obtained after the application of the methodological procedures, it was possible to interpose, throughout the research, bibliographical references with the materials obtained in the dynamics and in the interviews. In some chapters, based on the author's own analysis and based on the context witnessed in the on-site visits and on the theoretical background, the drawings were interpreted. As a final consideration, there are only a few constituents of the home materialized in surfaces. Thus, no environments were found that invite the hosted to appropriate the space or materialize their identity, so that residents are unable to convey the image they want of the space in which they live. In addition, it is clear that a major gap in the construction of the home is the presence of a temporary nature, which makes belonging very difficult. It is expected that his study and the participative posture of other researches and society to open paths to an individualized and friendly service, in which users identify with the inhabited space, will contribute to building a meaning of home there.Item Nem palácio, nem ninho: um lugar para a criança e o adolescente no sistema de justiça(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-03-28) Faria, Cybelle Saad Sabino de Freitas; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Mahler, Christine Ramos; Ferreira, Bráulio ViniciusThe path to be followed by the child and / or adolescent victim of violence is perverse and victimizing. In the justice system they face the same obstacles as adults in addition to facing barriers and impediments linked to their vulnerability. The new law 13.431, which comes into force in April 2018, determines new conduct in the relationship of justice with the child and adolescent public. Their reception and care should be conducted in a friendly environment, separate from the Hearing Room, especially designed to promote their psychological protection. However, in the legal area, it is not specified how these sites should be, in the architectural scope subjective parameters for planning such spaces are not observed and within the scope of the administration of justice there are difficulties linked to the lack of long term planning, resources and bureaucratic obstacles. In the buildings chosen as object of study, the Criminal Forum and the Juvenile Court of Children and Youth, both located in the city of Goiânia, were identified inadequacies and possibilities. The objective of this study is to identify the desirable material and immaterial qualities in the environments for the care of children and adolescents who participate in the procedures of justice through the study of physical, psychoemotional and symbolic-cultural needs, desires and values alluding to this age group. As a result, the study provides guidelines for new configurations of judicial spaces for children and adolescents based on objective and subjective aspects.Item Cidades fictícias: o elo entre as histórias em quadrinhos e a arquitetura(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-05-31) Marques, Geovane Umbelino; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Mahler, Christine Ramos; Ramos, Rubem Borges TeixeiraThe art of storytelling through drawings arranged in sequence has always been linked to architecture throughout history. Through publications and researches that study these relationships between the two arts since prehistory and through reading contemporary comics, it is noticed that there are different ways of representing an urban environment in comics. This research discusses the different types of representation of human environments in the context of comics, seeking to relate them to the issues present in the architecture and urbanism theoretical field, such as the study of drawing, the recognition of architectural styles, the instigation of utopian thought, among others. To investigate these perceptions, the research occurs in an exploratory and descriptive way. Exploratory because it investigates how architecture and comics influence each other, and descriptive because it tries to describe the author's (in other words, the comic artist's) perceptions found during the assimilation of these two arts. For such approaches, the methodological process is composed of bibliographic survey, theoretical foundation, analysis of the most relevant comics in relation to the theoretical field of architecture, data systematization and indication of results. The expectation is to verify if the comic books really present themselves as a tool for understanding some theoretical approaches of architecture and urbanism, and if the representations of urban environments in the comics can help in the development of the critical thinking of architects and urban planners. This research can contribute to the strengthening of comics as ninth art, demonstrating that the graphic narratives go far beyond the niche of pop culture superheroes and villains. Thus, in an attempt to attenuate the distrust of those who consider the comic as a simple medium of shallow entertainment, the work will also contribute to the perception that the relationships between comics and architecture move across wider fields.Item Lares de Campinas: a identidade campineira expressa em casas remanescentes no século XXI(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-03-31) Meireles, Emilly Faria de; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Mahler, Christine Ramos; Ferreira, Braulio ViníciusThis dissertation presents the relationship between the identity of people from Campinas and that of people from Goiânia based on the study of remaining houses in the region. The Campinas native goes back to the construction of the capital of the State of Goiás, which was formerly in Campinas, until then, an independent municipality. The investigation assumed that, with the merging of the two localities, a feeling of affection was awakened in the identity in people from Campinas regarding their place of origin. The objective of the research was to understand if this Campinas identity was also expressed in the current houses in Campinas and if there was hybridity between colonial and modern styles. In methodological terms, the collective identity of Campinas was analyzed based on historiography, information from primary documents, oral history derived from interviews and photographic records collected in some houses, carefully selected in both regions. The text covered the history of Campinas and Goiânia, considering the context of tradition and progress, identity and memory. Then, there was a debate about the house and the home, taking into account the symbolic meanings, borders, furniture and styles inherent to this accumulating agent of stories, memories and identities. Finally, through visits to the localities, it was analyzed how the identity was inserted in the selected houses. The results demonstrated the existence of a hybridism resulting from the material changes that the remaining popular houses have undergone over the years.Item Etnografia de rua: uma reflexão sobre os abrigos de ônibus de Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2017-09-20) Paiva, Rodrigo Balestra Ferreira de; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Kneib, Érika Cristine; Hoezel, Carlos Gustavo MartinsThis dissertation deals with the different ways of designing a shelter for people for loading and unloading, commonly called a bus shelter or Boarding and Unloading Point – PED, through new strategies and design methodologies, and proposes to analyze also the situation of this urban furniture in the context of the city of Goiânia. It proposes guidelines for future projects that can make this object more symbolic, technological and emotional, helping to establish a greater bond with its users and with the city itself. The PEDs must fulfill their primary functions: guide, inform and protect passengers from the elements, and can also become a highlight in the city landscape. Its immediate surroundings require the attention and care of the authorities to offer accessibility, comfort, efficiency and attributes relevant to the user population. When analyzing its insertion in the metropolitan transport system, there are differences between the conception, implantation and maintenance of bus shelters, and the users' needs regarding the positioning of public managers and system operators. The adoption of new assistive technologies can facilitate the life of the user and also promote the valuation of public transportation, mobility and urban accessibility. These are strategies that qualify the experience and create new business opportunities and the production of new Design products.Item Design e paisagem urbana – estratégias de design para parques de Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-03-23) Silva, Matheus Lima da; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Mahler, Christine Ramos; Hoelzel, Carlos Gustavo MartinsThis research approaches Goiânia’s parks as part of the contemporary urban landscape and as an architectural element of citizenship production. It investigates the nature of these environments through the design optics. It was observed that even being a public space, the urban parks present aggregations and segregations in its uses. In response to this, it is possible to notice that some of this behaviors are detracted, generating interactions and conflicts in the functioning of these environments. Apparently, the current physical distribution of the environment has contributed to this behavior. The hypothesis is that through design strategies, people's interaction can be effectively triggered for the production of citizenship. By this perspective, the aim was to understand the functioning of contemporary urban parks and to identify how the space interfere in social behavior, in order to recover their primary function, which is the use of the environment in a collectively way, but with belonging. The methodology is based on a historical and qualitative approach, through the analysis of parks that present similar morphological structures. The expectation is that these design strategies can direct their 're-operation' in favor of interaction among users.Item Materialidade e imaterialidade na percepção da casa: análise da influência da verticalização em moradias de Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-09-27) Tavares, Márcia Guerrante; Badan, Rosane Costa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2241460854673642; Badan, Rosane Costa; Oliveira, Adriana Maria Vaz de; Roda, Rui Miguel FerreiraThis piece of work discusses how the transformations caused by the increase in the number of inhabitants and the verticality of the cities, which are responsible for cracks in the urban tissue, alter the perception and the way the individual currently lives in his house. In this research, the house is revealed as the fundamental cell of the urban tissue, related to its historic and social context, where time and space build its narration. The object of study is the interior of the placehouse inserted in the space-city, focusing on the relation between its inhabitant and what he understands as the “center of the world”. The city that was chosen is Goiânia of the beginning of the 21st century, contemplating the neighborhoods of greater value, in an accelerated verticality process. The main objective of this work is to understand how the verticalized city affects the user’s perception and relation with the house. Furthermore, we try to identify the role of the sensoriality and the symbolic in the construction of the values and the individual and collective references in the living space. The materiality of the house dealt with here refers to the physical space, whereas the immateriality regards the house as a symbolic place, inhabited by the memories and symbols and lived through the daily rituals and events. The data collection is based on the bibliographical research and on interviews with distinct groups of families that live in the selected area. As a result, the study brings contribution to the new way of thinking the urban house and its interior design, taking into consideration the diversity and the necessities of the man in the material, social and symbolic dimensions.
