Item Arte, arquitetura e cultura: caminhos para a resistência na obra de Lina Bo Bardi e de Hélio Oiticica(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2020-03-27) Aleixo, Paulo Arthur Silva; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Pereira, Maíra TeixeiraIn the vibrant Brazilian cultural production of the 1950s and 1960s, the approximation between the ideals of different fields of expression was common. This was a time when professionals in the arts and architecture were interested in moving out of their narrow spheres, taking a political stand by rethinking cultural production, aiming to strengthen the relationship with the popular strata and change the established situation. However, the 1964 coup d’état, which created a state of tension in the country's politics and culture, frustrated much of this artistic production, forcing the current thinkers to reorganize and rethink their acting strategies in the face of complicated reality established. In this scenario, the names of the Italian-Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi (Rome, 1914 - São Paulo, 1992) and the artist Hélio Oiticica (Rio de Janeiro, 1937 - Rio de Janeiro, 1980) are protagonists in the construction of a thought that sought, above all, ways to question the status quo and transform society. Acting in different places - Bo Bardi between Bahia and São Paulo, Oiticica between Rio de Janeiro and New York - and belonging to different generations and fields of production, their trajectories never crossed, despite having a strong affinity of convictions. The interventions of these figures have condensed but also served as a starting point for most of the concerns contained in the reflections of contemporary architects, artists and intellectuals. Thus, the present work seeks to initiate a reflection on the principles and vital interlocutions that Bo Bardi and Oiticica nurtured in the passage from the 1960s to the 1970s, trying to understand how their productions stood as voices of resistance to the established. To this end, it starts from successive approaches, isolating some influential figures and certain activities developed that, placed in the same perspective, can contribute to the image of a potent cultural phenomenon that fought for greater social and political engagement.Item Residências do setor Central: por que preservá-las?(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-06-05) Barros, Renata Lima; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz de; Paula, Ana Amélia Moura de; Caixeta, Elina Maria Mora PereiraThe deterioration of Heritage Assets is concerning. The lack of initiatives that pursuit its appreciation and preservation causes its loss. Our assets are part of our identity. They tell a story from the past and they are our form of communication with the future generations. What can be done for its preservation? In Brazil, a legislation specific to preserve Brazilian heritage assets is not enough. The preservation is not only a matter of the Brazilian Public Power, there needs to be social involvement. Given the importance of the relationship between society and the Heritage Assets, this dissertation will study some of the remaining historical residences in the Central Region of Goiânia, Brazil. Four of the residential buildings were selected and studied to better understand how people interact with these assets. The research includes architectural and urban analysis and importantly interviews with the owners. It was necessary to understand the value of these assets that go beyond the historical and architectural pointed by scholars. The owners add to the Assets and will affect its preservation process.Item Habitar o espaço doméstico: intervenções nas casas-tipo do conjunto habitacional Privê Atlântico(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-05-25) Milagre, Carolina Vivas da Costa; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Mello, Fernando Antônio Oliveira; Resende, Sandra Catharinne Pantaleão; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora PereiraDwelling corresponds to the action of appropriating space by man, at a certain time. According to Lefebvre's thoughts, capital transforms living into habitat, reducing space to its primary function and depriving i t of its social, symbolic and cultural dimension, as it considers it as a product. Thus, this research focuses on the discussion of the house, understanding it as a social space, in order to reveal the contradictions between dwelling and habitat. The objects of study are the houses of the Privê Atlântico housing/gated community, located in Goiânia. Privê Atlântico originated as a housing in 1978, with standard houses, which have possibilities for expansion and are intended for the lower middle class. The design of these houses was conceived by architects Silas Varizo and Edeni Reis da Silva, within the context of modern architecture, produced i n Brazil at that time. Therefore, the houses were configured from a new way of living i n the domestic space. Today, this housing is characterized as a gated community and these residences have undergone major transformations, both physical, such as the insertion of new spaces, reconfigurations and demolitions, as well as subjective, due to the new ways of living and the specific spaces of each resident. To analyze the material modifications of single-family homes, conceived from standard projects, it is based on the concepts of graphic analysis, from which the relevant aspects are extracted, starting from the visualization of the fundamental elements of the formal and spatial design resulting from the interventions. In relation to immaterial changes, the space is analyzed through a sociological view to discuss the sociocultural aspects and the daily actions reflected in the domestic space, understood from the interviews with the dwellers. Thus, the contradictions between dwelling and habitat in the studied homes are revealed. It is noticed that the two configurations of Privê Atlântico, as a housing and as a gated community, compromise the dwelling. First, because the houses were built on the city's margins, unrelated to urban life and later for the construction of the wall, contributing to socio-spatial segregation.Still, the houses show nuances of dwelling, due to the architectural quality of the original project, which allowed interventions and enabled social, symbolic and cultural representations in their domestic space: traditional ways of living are resumed and merged with modern habits on the domestic spaces, as well they correspond to the daily life of each family, also the appropriation of public spaces in the gated community is evident. In this context, this research contributes to other discussions about home, based on the study of domestic space through social relations and dwellers' narratives.Item Espaço, paisagem, ambiência e vida urbana: a fotografia na construção do discurso moderno em Goiânia (1933-1964)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-05-29) Monteiro, Julia Macedo; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Mello, Fernando Antônio Oliveira; Ferreira, Bráulio Vinícius; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora PereiraThe city of Goiânia was conceived in the early 1930s and implemented with the support of the federal government, under the banner of the “ Westward Expansion” conceived by Getúlio Vargas. The new capital should reflect the goals of the government: following a new urban political-administrative and territorial order, as a modern and planned city. Therefore, both its urban design and the first buildings were immersed in the discourse of modernization connected to the image of an intended modernity. The present work seeks to understand the construction of the image of a modern city, forged in the period of formation and consolidation of Goiânia between the 1930s and 1960s, and present in the photographs that sought to portray the construction of the city, its resulting spaces, its landscape, ambience and urban life. To access the vestiges of the past of its landscape, historical and institutional photography is used as a source of research. The reflection that this work proposes is about the following questionings: What is the representation of the modern incorporated in these photos? What themes and contents are reported or defended as an image of modernity in photographs? What is the conception of modernity and modernization present in the official discourse of the time? What are the correlations between the photographic narrative and the historical discourse?Item Não só do pau se fez Brasil: Sergio Rodrigues e o SR2(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2023-06-27) Ogawa, Wanderson Leão Afonso; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; Pereira, Mafra Teixeira; Oliveira, Adriana Mara Vaz deIt was May 1960 when, in the gardens of MAM Rio, the architect Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014) presented, for the first time, the SR2 wood prefabrication system through a prototype executed in 1:1 scale and exposed to the public. from the public. Since the show, entitled Casa Individual Pré-Fabricada, several projects were developed by the professional in national and international territory until his death in 2014. Recognized for his furniture production, with signs of ‘brazilianness’ impregnated in his traits, Sergio Rodrigues develops a System constructive way to connect architecture with design and industry, in order to enable a solution to the housing problem of the “people”. Therefore, it is asked how the architect approaches these areas of knowledge through SR2 and responds to the wishes of its user(s). The dissertation aims to highlight this System and understand how it is used in its architectural production between the years 1960 to 1969, temporal arch of the first phase of SR2, with emphasis on 1962, the year in which the three cases analyzed by the research are inaugurated: the first accommodation at UnB, the second headquarters of the Iate Clube de Brasília and the first headquarters of the Country Clube de Goiás. Thus, to consider the crossings that this production establishes with the furniture developed by the architect since the creation of his furniture store, Oca, in 1954. Through a literature review, collection of material from the Sergio Rodrigues Institute collection and technical visits in the field, the work is developed from evidence observed and analyzed in Rodrigues' works and presented in three chapters: A Sergio who became Rodrigues; One System, Three Cases; Crossings.Item Ética em intervenções no patrimônio arquitetônico - a Praça Cívica em Goiânia(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-12-20) Rezende, Marília Mota; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; http://lattes.cnpq.br/5246618096427219; Caixeta, Eline Maria Mora Pereira; Mahler, Christine Ramos; Andrade Júnior, Nivaldo Vieira deThe Praça Pedro Ludovico Teixeira (Pedro Ludovico Teixeira Square), mostly known as Praça Cívica (Civic Square), is the planed central axis of the city of Goiania, founded in the 1930s, a symbol of national modernity of the Brazilian center-west. It is a representative space of the people of Goiânia, an historical stage, with buildings and design the subject of preservation orders in one or more of the three public spheres. Still, we can find a gap in the understanding of the layers that compose the space today, changes since its project are often unknown or simply not recorded in the official historical documents. The target of a major requalification in the year of 2016, the Square seems to not know its place in the XXI century. What remains? Why were the alterations made? For whom they took place? These are ethical questions that appear increasingly in the world’s critical theories. This dissertation has aimed to build a historiography of the architectonical interventions and the dynamics that brought the space of Civic Square to its current configuration, with the support of the ethical theory of cultural heritage interventions. We hope to understand the criteria used and the concept of heritage implied in those theories and identify the impacts that such interventions had over this urban space and its memory. This dissertation is a applied research with exploratory objectives, under a qualitative approach, with the use of case study method, supported by the historical method. The use of bibliographical research tools was such as: scientific publications, books, periodical articles, materials available online; documents, in archives and government agencies; case studies, with participant observation and three-dimensional modeling. With all the data obtained we hope to increase the understanding of the physical space and the cultural meaning of the Civic Square. To see in a broader and clearer way the mutations on this space, its actors and temporality, in conjunction with information that may guide future approaches in a responsible and careful way, that can bring with them the respect towards the temporalities within, respect to the sustainability and to the social-
