The objectives are researches: a) Investigate the profile of the academic music course - Bachelor of EMAC / UFG; b) Analyze the commitment and performance of students in order to understand the reasons that lead to dropping out of the course; c) To analyze how the Educational Project Course meets the expectations and professional needs of its students and to what extent can influence the withdrawal of the course; d) Explain the process of permanent, temporary or permanent withdrawal of academics in these courses. It is important to consider some factors that may influence the relationship between the academic and the course, as the reconciliation of work and study, the interference of the family and society in the dropout process, as well as the expectations and professional needs of these students on the Educational Project. The methodology used in this research is based on qualitative and quantitative paradigm, whose procedures for data collection made real through: a) Documentary research and field research with questionnaires and interviews. The results indicate that the university has contributed, in part, so that they achieve their goals for the courses. Most students made suggestions to contribute positively to the success of the Degree in Music Course. Expected to reignite debate about the applicant's evasion problem in higher music course in Brazil, more specifically, about the degrees in music, including the interrelationships between student, Higher Education Institution (HEI) and society.Item A formação musical na orquestra acadêmica Jean Douliez da EMAC/UFG(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-04-27) Lucena, Glawber Vitor; Campos, Nilceia Protásio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9035006977831813; Campos, Nilceia Protásio; Costa, Carlos Henrique; Joly, Ilza Zenker LemeThe present research has the aim to verify how musical training takes place at the Jean Douliez Academic Orchestra of the Music and Performing Arts School (EMAC) at Federal University of Goiás (UFG). It seeks to elucidate how the process of musical training of its members, the technical preparation of the instruments and the choice of the repertory take place as well as the development of the competences and skills in the mentioned orchestra. Regarding the methodological procedures, this is a case study based on a qualitative paradigm, having a phase of documental analysis and another one of field search. The Jean Douliez Academic Orchestra, by means of a subject called 'Musical Group - Orchestra Practice', aims to prepare and perform orchestral repertory bringing together, in its majority, musicians from the Music School at UFG. According to data gathered by observing the rehearsals and interviews with the conductors, it is concluded that this orchestra meets important musical knowledge, being a favorable musical practice, especially regarding the development of musical performances, knowledge about musical history and formal and stylistics aspects of a musical piece as well as aspects connected to instrumentation and interpretation. Thus, the results obtained in this study reinforce the importance of the work of the referred orchestra in the musical formation of the student body and in the strengthening of musical groups in the city of Goiânia.Item A aprendizagem musical e as contribuições sociais nas bandas de música: um estudo com duas bandas escolares(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-03-31) Silva, Francinaldo Rodrigues da Silva; Campos, Nilceia Protásio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9035006977831813; Campos, Nilcéia Protásio; Silva, Lélio Eduardo Alves; Cardoso, Antonio MarcosThe bands are an important area of musical learning. There are many perspectives of education involved in them: instrumental teaching in group and individual, musical theory lessons, music theory, martialness and discipline. The brass bands have an active participation in Brazilian communities. They play in public ceremonies, civic and military parades, religious festival, and many others different events. Taking Part of a band gives to the members a kind of learning that goes beyound playing an instrument. With a view to these bands particularities this study was developed by taking two martial bands of the city of Aparecida de Goiania/GO, in order to inquire how the bands contribute to the musical and social process of the students whom participate. The research includes both qualitative and quantitative datas. In order to obtain meaniful results toarch, the study was achieved by literature review, direct observation of theoretical lessons, rehearsals and select bands performances. It was applied questionnaires to these groups of students who take part in these bands. And for teachers, teachers’ aides, group manager of the institutions in which the bands belongs to were performed semistructured interviews. In answer to the questionnaires and interviews were collected datas which support the objectives of this research.
