Item Novas ruralidades e a expansão do cultivo da cana-de-açúcar: efeitos sobre o desenvolvimento rual de Goiatuba-GO(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2013-09-30) Campos, Washington Pereira; Ribeiro, Francis Lee; Caliari, Márcio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3558164788327179; Souza, Cleonice Borges de; Silva, Flavio Alves daThis paper presented a study, made from a field research in Goiatuba city, in order to observe the effects on ruralities and changes in this city through the expansion of monoculture of sugar cane. Seventy six farms were interviewed and 11 sugar cane suppliers too. These 87 farmers were divided into three actors’ categories - pluriactives farmers, not pluriactives farmers and sugar cane suppliers. Overall, it was created 32 indicators which were divided in four dimensions (economic, social, environmental and institutional). For the environmental and social dimension were created eight indicators, for the economic dimension were studied seven other indicators, and nine indicators were studied for the institutional dimension. All indicators were wheelset in the tool Dashboard of Sustainability and one sub-index was calculated for each dimension. As from these four sub-indexes were calculated a General Index of Sustainability - GIS. This study showed that pluriactives farmers have the per capita income, and other economic and social indicators, higher than not pluriactives farmers. Furthermore, pluriactives farmers category represented the best performance within the environmental dimension. For the other two categories the sugar cane suppliers showed better performance. Overall, the category of actors who performed the best, according to the Dashboard of Sustainability, was the category represents pluriactives farmers in second place was the category represented by the sugar cane suppliers and in third place came the not pluriactives farmers. However, this study showed that the lack of institutional coordination can be one of the factors that limit the growth of income of the small farmers of Goiatuba city. Under the social focus, is the inclusion of family farmers in the biodiesel chain, which receives incentives to produce and supply raw material for biofuel production, so that this farmer can stay on the field with dignity. In this respect, the family farmer of Rio Verde - GO has been benefited by this program? This work was general objective to diagnose the inclusion of family farming in Rio Verde PNPB. As specific objectives, sought to identify the effectiveness of contracts and their influence on entry and stay of that farmer in the program; know the assessment that the farmer makes PNPB and its perception as to any possible improvement of life with participation in the program. The study gathered the Federation of Agricultural Workers of the State of Goiás (FETAEG), the Union of Rural Workers of Rio Verde (STRRV), cooperatives of farmers A and B operating in the municipality, four representatives of the five companies that also act in the city in the biodiesel industry and have the Social Fuel Seal (SCS) and 43 family farmers of Rio Verde entered into PNPB, defined from a non-probability sample intentional. The results showed that family farming in Rio Verde is set in a different context, in which among other factors, have soybean as product already traditional; that the contracts governance structure has not yet been able to curb opportunistic behavior of the parties, and the farmer is in a more fragile situation; that the majority of respondents farmers realized an improvement of life in program function, and that most of farmers do a positive assessment of PNPB, although there are many complaints about the same.Item Agroindústrias familiares em Goiás: caminhos e contornos(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2015-08-31) Rodrigues, Juliana Moreira; Caliari, Márcio; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3558164788327179; Caliari, Márcio; Ferreira, Gislene Auxiliadora; Souza, Cleonice Borges deThe family agroindustries are alternatives created collectively through cooperatives, associations or family units in order to improve regional development patterns, diversify agrarian economy and improve the income of farmers. Considering this context, this study aimed to analyze the deployment trajectories and operation of family agroindustries, organized collectively in the state of Goias. The research is characterized as case study and was performed in three agro pulp of fruits, municipalities of São Patricio, Goias and Itapuranga belonging CAPRUS the cooperatives, COOPAR and COOPERAFI respectively. To collect data, semi-structured interviews with social actors who participated in the demonstrations for the creation of projects were carried out. As a result, it is observed that the agroindustries that are making possible are those that had a network of expanded relations with governmental and non-governmental entities and they had their cooperatives structured in a previous case the installation of agroindustries. Overall, the survey indicated that agroindustries are important in aggregation, diversification and inclusion of family farming in the markets. However they are still dependent on the institutional market. It is necessary for the development of these agroindustries, access to working capital loans, the specialized service assurance, and the search for niche markets.
