Trigonometry, being one of the branches of mathematics that it developed for needs
especially in the field of navigation and astronomy, it is still today considered by students
and teachers, as an abstract content, full of formulas to be memorized and difficult to
apprehend. This proposal seeks to develop teaching in this area of mathematics, in
particular the concept of sine and cosine, emphasizing the transition from the right
triangle to the trigonometric circumference, so through Mathematical Modeling as a
teaching strategy.
