Adolescence is most often the life stage in which the first contact with drugs occurs, due to the fact that this is a period when they face situations of great vulnerability, such as violence, social misfit and risky behavior regarding sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy, in addition to curiosity and drug trying. As most teenagers are in the school context, the school is considered a privileged space for the development of educational work on the theme of drugs. The aim of this study was to describe the teacher’s development process in the context of drug use in adolescence. This is a Research-Action qualitative study performed with teachers from a school of basic education located in Goiânia - Goiás, which results were analyzed through the Content Analysis method, with a total of 7 (seven) meetings. The speech analysis of the subjects showed three categories: "teachers", "teenagers" and "the role of school and teachers on drug abuse prevention"; and seven subcategories: "the first perceptions of teachers about the theme", "discussing concepts and knowledge of teachers on drugs", "reflecting on the use of drugs", "adolescence and drug use", " prevention of drug use in adolescence", "getting to know the flow of health care for the adolescent taking drugs: the role of school and teacher in the prevention ", as well as " proposal to prevent drug abuse in the school context”. The outcomes showed that teachers' knowledge about drugs is still based on common sense, there is no definition of the role of both school and teacher in the prevention of drug use. Some difficult and demotivating factors like excessive workload, low wages, and the fear of making any intervention related to drug use. The majority of teachers is unaware of the public policies of assistance to teenagers who take drugs and considers that, without some family help, they cannot succeed on approaches with teenagers taking drugs. Even within this context we were able to spark the interest of teachers in building, along with the school, grants to fight the problem of drug use. We proposed to the group of teachers to have some time for discussion, seeking help and partnerships within the healthcare area through the Family Health Strategy and education especially with the university for the implementation of the Health Program at the School, with extension and research activities, and mainly, continuing education for teachers.Item Estado nutricional, comportamentos de saúde, hábitos alimentares e conhecimentos nutricionais de escolares de ensino médio residentes em uma instituição pública de ensino(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2016-11-24) Noll, Priscilla Rayanne e Silva; Silveira, Nusa de Almeida; http://lattes.cnpq.br/9225080927999489; Barros, Patrícia de Sá; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4072686126990699; Barros, Patrícia de Sá; Silva, Mara Reis; Oliveira, Ellen Synthia Fernandes de; Souza, Márcia Maria de; Teixeira, Ricardo Antônio GonçalvesThis study aimed to evaluate the nutritional status, behavioral indicators, biochemical factors, eating pattern, and nutritional knowledge of students from the Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Ceres. This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2015 with 122 students aged 14-19 years of a Federal Public Education Institution in the Midwest of Brazil. Demographic, socioeconomic, anthropometric, hemodynamic, biochemical, nutritional and behavioral data were collected. Regarding to the time in residence at the institution, the students were grouped as freshmen in 2015 (Group 1, <8 months in the institution) and those who were freshmen in 2014 (Group 2, >20 months in the institution). Students presented behaviors risk, such as: cigarette smoking (13.1%), high alcohol consumption (45.9%), multiple sexual partners (77.1%), and early the age at first intercourse sexual (89.1%). These behaviors are intensified by fragile socioeconomic conditions (37.7% with family income up to 1 minimum wage and 51.6% from 1 to 3 minimum wages). However, they were physically active (70.5%). Spent longer time at the institution was associated with older age (p≤0.001), less doses of alcohol consumption (p=0.007), adequate BMI (p=0.027), and higher nutritional knowledge (p=0.017). Overweight prevalence (20.5%) was inversely associated with family income higher than 3 times the minimum wage (RP=0.84, CI 0.74-0.95) and breakfast consumption (RP=0.82, CI 0.72-0.92). Moreover, alterations in the arterial pressure (40.2%) were found, as well in lipid profile, such higher prevalence of inadequate HDL-c (96.7%) and LDL-c (31.7%). In conclusion, students present socioeconomic vulnerability, high prevalence of overweight and health risk behaviors, such as smoking, high alcohol consumption, and sexual behaviors. These results may be related to family distance. Such health-related behaviors in addition to changes in the biochemical and hemodynamic profile are risk factors for the development of non-communicable chronic diseases.Item Os sentidos do projeto: caderneta de saúde do adolescente em uma escola da rede pública de Goiânia, sob a perspectiva da pesquisa-ação(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2018-05-21) Sousa, Deusa Simone Gomes; Teixeira, Ricardo Antonio Gonçalves; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0272312162765846; Teixeira, Ricardo Antonio Gonçalves; Fernandes, Ellen Synthia; Oliveira Neto, Pedro Adalberto Gomes deA qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study conducted with adolescents of a public school, 9th grade, of elementary school, from the perspective of action research, proposed by Barbier (2007) and Morin (2004). The objective of the study was to understand the dynamics of the Project: Adolescent Health Book, with a view to the resignification of the actions, from the perspective of the actors / social authors involved in the proposal. The project in question works on the main themes of adolescence using the adolescent health booklet, created by the Ministry of Health, in 2009. The data collection took place after the acceptance of adolescents and legal guardians from August to September 2017. It was used questionnaire with closed and open questions for students and focus groups for parents and / or guardians and teachers. The analysis of the data of the questionnaire was carried out by the statistical package SPSS, version 23. The analysis of the content of the open questions of the questionnaire, as well as of the focus groups, came from the perspective of Bardin (2010) and Franco (2004). The results pointed to a positive evaluation of the project among students, managers and teachers. However, several critiques and suggestions were built, which contributed enormously to unveiling the project's senses from the perspective of the actors/authors involved and to improving the planning. The present research made a great contribution to the area of Collective Health and the SUS (Unified Health System), as it reaffirmed the importance of multiprofessional work; the interface between health and education; the transversality of the topic of health education, as well as the possibility of interaction between health / education, even without being in the mold of the School’s Health Program (PSE).
