Item Narrativas do olhar: subjetividade no reencontro com minhas imagens e trajetória de vida(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2021-01-29) Rodrigues, Mariana Magri; Ferreira, Glauco Batista; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2193871294419921; Ferreira, Glauco Batista; Martins, Raimundo; Clementino, Elizeu; Guimarães, Leda Maria de Barros; Guimarães, Leda Maria de BarrosThis dissertation presents a (self) biographical narrative of a life and work path. In it I present myself as a visual artist and director of graphic projects in continuous formation, inicialy reflecting on visual and memorial records that were determining factors of the identity and constructions of artistic viewpoints and action, and also producing critical developments on how images and life experiences were directly related to a Eurocentric and patriarchal perspective in my intimate environments, work and school and academic training.I revisit scenarios, events and experiences between home, school, work and productions. I exchange dialogues that reflect memories of books, relationships and confrontations that were decisive for the construction of my outlook on life and my artistic production. Markers for differences, mainly gender, are mentioned with a lot of commitment in this work. After this walk through memory lane and reflections, with the help of Visual Culture, the motivation that led me to start this research: I redeem the place of creation and visual production based on identity, culture and environment. I finish the (auto)biographical narrative by sharing an image of a campaign produced to represent an international theater event in the city of Goiânia. Through writing, I exchange challenges, I present opinions about the participants and my own suggestions and inquiries regarding the visual choices and their Eurocentric and patriarchal origins imprinted in my gaze. The study aims to invite artists, designers, advertisers and image producers to consider their life stories in their own creations. And, mainly, to develop a more critical perspective that takes into consideration the fact that the visual elements chosen are also part of cultural, relational and environmental factors and that are not in themselves crucial: many times, they only intensely reinforce markers of differences and social discrimination.
