Item ENTRE ILUSTRES E ANÔNIMOS: A CONCEPÇÃO DE HISTÓRIA EM MACHADO DE ASSIS.(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2009-09-21) CAMPOS, Raquel Machado Gonçalves; SANDES, Noé Freire; SANDES, N. F.This dissertation investigates the conception of history in Machado de Assis' literature and thinking on literature, seeking to demonstrate how they set up the possibility of anonymous people being considered subjects of history. Asserting the equality of the indifference, they question the core of the conception of history of the 19th century Brazilian historians. According to them, there is history because there is inequality, because there are men who are worth of eternal memory and lives destined to oblivion. Claiming the "principle of any representable" and making equal the distinguished and the anonymous, Machado de Assis refused a partition of the sensible which gives each one its own place: for national literature, national themes; for history, the distinguished man. Stablishing a "thinking of the new disorder" (Jacques Rancière), Assis' work admits to turn into objects of history and literature those that, by definition, were once excluded: the anyone, and the anything.Item As imagens da cultura política brasileira em A carteira de meu tio de Joaquim Manuel de Macedo(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2008-06-13) CARNEIRO JÚNIOR, Nelson; RIOS, Sebastião Correa; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7078983629857043The novel A carteira de meu tio, written by Joaquim Manoel de Macedo, shows the reality of Brazilian political culture during 19th century. The book makes radiography of political customs, using symbols and allegories that re-affirm the image of country with a low consistence in representatives and institutional political space exiguous in function of predominance of privilege of clients. The allegories presented in the book A carteira de meu tio, refers to the constitution of 1824, are the starting point of this research that realizes a social interpretation of a literary work, showing how this one present important representations to analyzes of society. This essay intends to study how cultural aspects from national political culture presents in A carteira de meu tio are appropriated by literary representation and historical and social production. Literature is the support that will allow revealing the images elaborated by the author and through historical part and a social analyzes, we will show what exist besides the present speeches in literary work about the purpose of the research. The representation of the imperial constitution of 1824 in A carteira de meu tio, by Joaquim Manoel de Macedo, symbolizes and presents political practices realized in Second Empire Government and the images of political activity in Brazil The conception of political citizenship and the role taken by political institutions in the country during 1853 to 1865 are evaluated as decisive elements in consolidation of a national political culture.Item A Morte Severina em Cândido Portinari e em João Cabral de Melo Neto(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2012-06-20) COIMBRA, Glayce Rocha Santos; BORGES, Maria Elizia; http://lattes.cnpq.br/0672444382021221The purpose of this dissertation was to study the possible dialogue between art and literature because of the literary work of João Cabral de Melo Neto, Morte e vida severina and painter production of Candido Portinari, in particular the series of 1944 called: Retirantes, Criança morte e Enterro na rede, which the content that unites them is an expression of how the northeastern refugees dealt with death, indicate that Melo Neto and Portinari the migration process and the flight of the misfortunes experienced in the northeastern backlands seems to represent the possible output. Through a literature review and analysis of the poem and the works of Portinari, we conclude that to represent the drama experienced by these refugees, Portinari used expressionist aesthetic resources and the deformation and Melo Neto sought through the Pernambuco Regionalism and folklore, elements to portray the same situation painted by Portinari. For a theoretical basis, this work dealt with the geographic categories of place, landscape, urban space, and time to the social representation theory. In the literary work Viver é devagar , the author, as a spectator and actor, takes over the urban space in Goiânia . Place is his starting point, and landscape is his narration object. The narration begins in his lived place in a metropolis. The conceptual structure of this work starts from a symbolic dimension, because it refers to cognitive contents that allow a person to be someone who knows and interprets the reality. The author demonstrates the representations of affective life, values, believes, knowledge, dreams, hopes, and expresses a way to communicate to the world that surrounds him through literature. The methodology that best fits this research is the qualitative one. Thus, in this work, the researcher became a spokeswoman to the Felicios chronics. She constant tried to reveal what is implicit in the author s city. A question arises: Does the literary work that has been studied offer enough categories and concepts to represent the social historic process in Goiânia ? To answer to this question, several geographers and authors from different areas were studied to establish a dialog through readings, reflections, and analyses concerning to geography and literature.Item Os limites da narrativa de Um amor de Swann: questões de literatura e de sua adaptação para o cinema(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-05-13) VIEIRA, Thales Rodrigo; FARIA, Zênia de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8316982495500415Pour cette recherche, nous avons proposé de comparer le livre, Un amour de Swann, Marcel Proust, avec l'éponyme du réalisateur Volker Schlöndorff, qui adapte le texte proustien pour le cinéma. Nous avons vérifié si ces travaux ont seulement le même titre, ou s'ils partagent des caractéristiques structurelles et artistiques au-delà du niveau narratif de l'histoire. Nous nous sommes enfuis, donc, le ton dominant de l'étude de l'adaptation du texte littéraire au cinéma, qui traite largement de l'adaptation seulement en termes de différence et ressemblance en termes d'histoire. Nous avons comparé les deux oeuvres donc, pour trouver des similitudes et des différences entre le texte littéraire et son adaptation cinématographique dans les niveaux les plus profonds de la structure narrative. À cette fin, nous avons utilisé la dichotomie histoire et discours. Toute cette discussion a mis en évidence ce qui est esthétiquement particulier au discours du récit littéraire de Proust, comme les figures de style et l'interférence de la subjectivité du narrateur dans le récit. Ainsi, cette discussion a révélé le discours propre du film: une description détaillée et objective faite par la caméra, par exemple, et l'absence du narrateur et de ses conséquences. La subjectivité du texte proustien est opposée à l'objectivité du discours du cinéma, dont la description, provenant de la caméra, se caractérise par un haut niveau de détails des décors et des personnages qui créent un effet de réalité. Le texte et le film, le narrateur et la caméra, la subjectivité et l'objectivité, l'auteur et réalisateur, la pensée et les images sont tous des contraires qui se trouvent au moment de l'adaptation. Ces questions méritent une grande attention, puisque chacun de ces aspects apporte une incidence au débat sur la possibilité du language cinématographique saisir le language litteraire dans ses différents aspects.
