Item Historiografia-linguística da influência de Edward Sapir na construção do ideário linguístico de Joaquim Mattoso Câmara Júnior(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2014-09-04) Almeida, Raquel Queiroz de; Milani, Sebastião Elias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6083858100528635; Milani, Sebastião Elias; Andrade, Maria Lúcia da Cunha Victória; Galvão, Vânia Cristina CassebThis dissertation shows the contributions of Edward Sapir's studies in the construction of concepts such as language, culture, drift and style present in the works of Joaquim Mattoso Câmara Júnior. For this, the historiographical-linguistic method will be used, verifying the continuity of the concepts between Edward Sapir and Câmara Júnior. Historiography-linguistics, when it makes use of historiography, seeks to understand the factors that influenced the thinking that enabled the emergence of a theory and/or its incorporation into specific investigative practices. An important methodological issue of linguistic historiography will be worked on here: “Influence”, which is based on shared experiences, education and the climate of opinion, on the one hand, and direct influence, on the other hand, which can be documented with based on explicit references, text comparison, public acknowledgments, and so on. Through the recovery of the linguistic concepts already mentioned in certain works by Joaquim Mattoso Câmara Júnior, a comparison is established between the study developed by him and that of Edward Sapir, thus realizing the consequences of the studies of the North American author. Notably, the sources in Câmara Júnior's work are marked, thus having a public recognition of the authors referenced by him, facilitating the attribution of the present ideas to Sapir. It is believed that this is not only due to the quotations, but also due to the discourse he constructed regarding language and language studies at that time. Câmara Júnior focused on the idea that languages are products of culture, in an anthropological view of language initiated by Edward Sapir in the United States. Therefore, language is the instrument used by the speaker to express himself within a group, creating representations of reality as a process of exteriorization of thought. Câmara Júnior, when considering the individual manifestations socially apprehended and incorporated into the general language, is based on Sapir's concept of drift, indicating that this innovation is not just an interpretation arising from a latent change in the collective language, but is also the effort of the speaker to express himself in the most appropriate way possible to the circumstances in which he finds himself, in an attempt at personal creation that will differentiate his linguistic manifestation in relation to the rest of the group.Item O estudo da metáfora e da metonímia em sala de aula sob a óptica da Linguística Cognitiva(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-03-28) Dores, Ivani Alberto das; Silva, Leosmar Aparecido da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6619554385992282; Silva, Leosmar Aparecido da; Borges, Mônica Veloso; Klinger, Karylleila dos Santos AndradeThe present research aims to investigate the teaching of metaphor and metonymy in the classroom, based on the perspective of Cognitive Linguistics. In order to do so, some of the concepts of metaphor and metonymy and their relationship with the teaching of the mother tongue will be studied. The theoretical basis of this dissertation is mainly focused on Lakoff and Johnson (2002 [1980]), Goossens (2002), Ferrari (2014), Silva (2012), among others. Working metaphor/metonymy in the context of the classroom, from the perspective of Cognitive Linguistics, is essential for research with the language in use to happen in a dynamic and productive way, as metaphor and metonymy are phenomena present at all levels of interaction, not being restricted to specific areas and activities of human knowledge. Regarding the methodology, the analysis material consisted mainly of metaphor and metonymy interpretation activities on the theme of the new coronavirus pandemic, applied to 9th grade Basic Education students, at Colégio Estadual Roberto Civita, in city of Goiânia-Go. The results reveal that, beyond the literary and rhetorical field, metaphor and metonymy are important resources to be explored in the classroom to develop the ability to interpret texts of different genres. Works of this nature contribute to the existence of references that combine the study of metaphor and metonymy with the teaching of the mother tongue.Item Com armas sonolentas, de Carola Saavedra: corpo, arte e experiência(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-10-17) Gomes, Renata Servato; Brito, Tarsilla Couto de; http://lattes.cnpq.br/2701726448999657; Silva, Cleidimar Aparecida Mendonça e; Vieira Júnior, Paulo Antônio; Brito, Tarsilla Couto deThe present study aims to analyze the experiences of the four women who constitute the family genealogy drawn by Carola Saveedra in the novel Com armas sonolentas (2018), focusing on the types of violence to which these women were subjected. The stories of the four main characters are crossed by some common denominators, such as sexual violence, abuse of power, racism, among others, however, the different contexts, temporalities and spaces in which these women are inserted must be considered. For this reason, we rely on feminist criticism and cultural studies to highlight these types of violence and what weapons the characters use to overcome them.Item Condições De Produção De Textos E Reescrita Orientada Por Bilhetes(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2011-02-28) LISBOA, Jussara Regina de Souza; MORAES, Eliana Melo Machado; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8561040656576261This work suggests issues related to production conditions and the rewriting of texts geared for tickets, at school, such questions are found in the productions of elementary school students. My goal is to analyze what are the interferences that such conditions of textual production, carry on writing and the role they play in guiding the tickets rewrite these students. Study subjects are teachers and students. The students were enrolled at the time the 9th grade of elementary school. A teacher and a teacher worked at the time, the effective teacher and researcher. The generation of data was in late 2009, the months of November and December. Procedures of analysis, qualitative methods have been developed which was the basic element of Evidential Paradigm Ginszburg (1989 and 1990) for its recovery in the uniqueness of this data and research is focused on finding the evidence. Hypotheses have been raised that conducted the investigation. The stay in school enabled me to collect the textual productions, collecting the materials used in the classes of text production; record seven classes for the production work and rewriting of texts, make notes in field diaries; enforce a semistructured interview with the teacher and an exploratory questionnaire to students. The look that guides this theoretical research is centered on language in place and the interaction between subjects, advocated by Bakhtin (2003, 2006). Among other scholars who depart this same look and fields like Textual Linguistics and Discourse Analysis, it has been Foucault (2002), Geraldi (1997, 2001, 2004, 2006), Indursky (2006), Koch (2004, 2006, 2006a, 2006b, 2007, 2007a, 2007b), Orlandi (2006, 2007, 2007a, 2008, 2008a), Pêcheaux (1997) and Ruiz (2001) whose investigations cut across the paths of language, text and discourse in its relation to teaching and learning of English. This research is justified by the need to better understand the conditions of textual production-oriented and rewriting tickets, as well as its role in the formation of Bullies in the public schools. The conclusions point to the need to create conditions for production of the text for students to recognize themselves as subjects of speech, thus recognizing the social character of language.Item Um olhar ecolinguistico para os saberes e as práticas de “raizeiros” da cidade de Nova Glória (GO)(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2019-02-15) Reis, Natália de Paula; Couto, Elza Kioko Nakayama Nenoki do; http://lattes.cnpq.br/8282195794917233; Couto, Elza Kioko Nakayama Nenoki do; Araújo, Gilberto Paulino de; Silva, Leosmar Aparecido daIn this dissertation we intend to understand the practices and the knowledge of the raizeiros of the city of Nova Glória (GO), considering the relations of these individuals with the environment (meaning) and of them with other individuals (communication). We use the postulates of the ecolinguistics of Nenoki do Couto (2012) and Couto (2007, 2013), the approach about Ethnoscience of Amorozo (1996), Cotton (1997) Araújo (2014) and others, and the semantic perspective of Biderman (1998) and Lakoff and Johnson (1980 [2002]). Based on these perspectives, we seek to understand the relationship between individual-language-environment, from the social, cultural, natural and subjective experiences of the raizeiros. The corpus of this research includes conversations with three raizeiros living in Nova Glória, who are between 45 and 85 years old and two videos posted by one of the raizeiros on the Youtube platform. From the analysis, we can conclude that these specialists have an intense relationship with the plants and with the other, that is, with the environment and with the community, especially patients. They, in addition to using natural resources and producing medicines, they care about and act on behalf of the community. Their knowledge and practices are built on the mental, social and natural environments, from their modes of feeling, from the cognition and conceptualization of the world, which is both physical and social.Item Atlas fonológico-fonético das vogais médias pretônicas em Goiás(Universidade Federal de Goiás, 2022-07-13) Soares, Thaynara Cardoso; Milani, Sebastião Elias; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6083858100528635; Milani, Sebastião Elias; Silva, Daniel Marra da; Cândido, Glaucia VieiraGoiás is a state located in the center-west region of Brazil and its formation took place with the arrival of the pioneers initially in search of Indians, but, with the discovery of gold, the state received numerous families from different states of Brazil, mainly from of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. To know the variations of pretonic mid-vowels in the state of Goiás, we carried out in this work the mapping of mid-stressed vowels in pretonic position. Therefore, for the development of the research, we used Dialectology as a theoretical framework under the method of Geolinguistics and Phonetics-Phonology. Both theories are extremely important for the development of this work. To develop this research, we used the corpus of the project Laboratório da Língua de Goiás (LABOLLINGO), and in it, we selected two informants: corresponding one female and one male, totaling 48 informants from the 24 cities studied. Thus, it is worth mentioning that this work makes use of data taken from the audiovisual collection of speech in Goiás – AUFAGO; collected for the development of the Linguistic Atlas of Goiás - ALINGO. After data selection and phonetic transcriptions, the phonetic maps were prepared. Thus, obtaining a total of 11 linguistic maps, from which we observed that from all the studied locations, there is a predominance of the higher vowels [i] and [u], followed by the higher mid vowels [e] and [o].
