dc.description.abstractViolence is a multifactorial phenomenon directly related to economic, social and cultural aspects and also can be classified in several kinds. The violence in the family is a kind of violence that deserves special attention because its consequences are even expressed in other contexts. Thus, at school, we found different patterns of violence, whose genesis lies not only the family but also in other contexts as the school. In this ambience the teachers deals with situations that can cause physical and emotional exhaustion that can affect their job. This is a descriptive and exploratory study, based on a qualitative approach, developed in a Public School of Goiânia, which sought to understand the meanings of the violence phenomenon from the sight of its teachers. The data was collected by focus groups and participant observation and analyzed by senses interpretation method from which emerged the categories The teacher and violence in his work context and The family influence to the violence in the scholar context . The first category is related to teachers understandings of violence in the school as well as about strategies to conduce situations where violence appears. In the second category it is discussed how teachers understand the family, media and economic system influence the students behavior in the school. Thus, from this research it was possible to observe that partnership between health and educational areas is necessary to preserve the teachers work in its essence. We highlight that it is necessary other studies about the phenomenon of violence in the school in order to increase the knowledge about the influences of the relationship among students and their families.eng

dc.description.resumoA violência é um fenômeno multifatorial, diretamente relacionado aos aspectos econômicos, sociais e culturais, podendo ser classificada em vários tipos. A violência na família é um tipo que merece atenção especial, pois suas consequências são manifestadas em outros contextos. Assim, no cotidiano escolar, observamos suas diferentes manifestações, cuja gênese reside não somente na família, mas também em outros contextos como na própria escola. Neste ambiente, os professores lidam com situações que podem causar desgaste físico e emocional, afetando seu trabalho. Esta pesquisa consistiu de um estudo descritivo e exploratório, segundo uma abordagem qualitativa, desenvolvido em uma escola pública de Goiânia, cujo objetivo foi compreender os significados do fenômeno da violência sob a ótica de professores. Os dados foram coletados por meio de grupos focais e observação participante e analisados pelo método de interpretação de sentidos, do qual emergiram as categorias "O professor e a violência em seu contexto de trabalho" e "A influência da família para a violência no contexto escolar". A primeira categoria diz respeito ao entendimento dos professores sobre a violência na escola, bem como às estratégias para lidar com situações a ela inerentes. Na segunda categoria, é discutido como os professores compreendem o papel da família e as influências do uso do computador e do sistema econômico no comportamento dos alunos nas escolas. Assim, a pesquisa permitiu observar que o trabalho intersetorial entre segmentos da Saúde e Educação é necessário para preservar o papel dos professores, em sua essência. Destacamos a necessidade de desenvolvimento de outras investigações sobre o fenômeno da violência na escola de forma a ampliar o conhecimento sobre a influência das relações dos estudantes com suas famílias.por
