Resumo
The experiment was conducted to evaluate the performance and the litter moisture of broilers feed with different
levels and source of sodium, associated the partial substitution of the sodium chloride by sodium bicarbonate. The experiment
was conducted in the experimental facilities of the Abatedouro São Salvador (Itaberaí-GO), using 1,920 male and
female Hubbard broilers. These birds were distributed in a completely randomized design with 4 treatments: T1 – 0.35% of
salt (NaCl) in the ration; T2 – 0.45% of NaCl in the ration; T3 – 0.55% of NaCl in the ration; T4 – 0.45% of NaCl + 0.15%
of Sodium Bicarbonate (NaHCO3) Were used 6 replicates with 80 birds . The use of level 0.45% of NaCl + 0.15% of
NaHCO3 results in better performance for broilers, without effect the litter moisture.
