Similarly, reductions of nitrogen excretion by 7,56% and phosphorus excretion by 21,34%, the environmental impact reducing caused by the excretion of these nutrientes of these nutrientes and increasing the apparent retention ratio of 9,41 and 33,94% in average, respectively.Item Composição química e energética de alimentos de origem vegetal determinada em aves de diferentes idades(2010) Calderano, Arele Arlindo; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Albino, Luiz Fernando Teixeira; Rostagno, Horácio Santiago; Souza, Renata Mara de; Mello, Heloisa Helena de CarvalhoFour assays were carried out to determine the apparent metabolizable energy (AME) and nitrogen corrected apparent metabolizable energy (AMEn) of ten feedstuffs of vegetable origin for poultry at different ages. The chemical composition of the ten feedstuffs was also determined: 45% soybean meal, 48% soybean meal, extruded full-fat soybean, deactivated full-fat soybean, micronized full-fat soybean, deactivated soybean meal, soybean protein concentrate, corn gluten meal 21%, corn germ and broken rice. The method of total excreta collection was used and a randomized complete experimental design was used with 11 treatments and six replications, in the four assays. In the 1st, 2nd and 3rd assays broiler chicks were used aged 10 to 17, 26 to 33 and 40 to 47 days, respectively, and in the 4th assay roosters were used with 25 weeks of age. The AMEn values (as-fed basis) determined in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th assay were, respectively: 2069, 2148, 2272 and 2231 for 45% soybean meal; 2214, 2225, 2319 and 2247 for 48% soybean meal; 3322, 3331, 3405 and 3493 for extruded full-fat soybean; 3016, 3067, 3139 and 3388 for deactivated full-fat soybean; 3557, 3638, 3828 and 3869 for micronized full-fat soybean; 2292, 2348, 2518 and 2502 for deactivated soybean meal; 2356, 2399, 2509 and 2486 for soybean protein concentrate; 1826, 1882, 2110 and 1942 for corn gluten meal 21%; 2605, 2764, 2925 and 2832 for corn germ; and 2967, 3029, 3096 and 3026 for broken rice.Item Dietary requirements of available phosphorus in growing broiler chickens at a constant calcium: available phosphorus ratio(2012) Mello, Heloisa Helena de Carvalho; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Rostagno, Horacio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando Teixeira; Rocha, Tatiana Cristina da; Almeida, Rodrigo Lopes de; Calderano, Arele ArlindoFour experiments were conducted to study the requirements of available phosphorus (aP) for commercial male broilers of 1-10 day of age (exp.1), 11-21 days of age (exp. 2), 22-33 day of age (exp. 3) and 34-46 days of age (exp. 4), at a constant calcium:aP ratio. A complete randomized design was used in each experiment. The experimental diets were fed ad libitum to 8 replicate groups of ten broilers in each. The increments in the levels of aP ranged from 2.0 to 5.5 g/kg (exp. 1), 1.9 to 5.4 g/kg (exp. 2), 1.8 to 5.3 g/kg (exp. 3) and 1.7 to 5.2 g/kg (exp. 4), in 0.7 g/kg. The parameters evaluated were body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and bone parameters. The level of aP in the diet influenced the performance of broilers of 1-10 and 11-21 days of age, but did not affect the performance of broilers at 22-33 and 34-46 days of age. Feed intake was not affected. The requirements of aP and Ca for male broilers from 1-10, 11-21, 22-33 and 34-46 days of age are 4.82 and 9.64 g/kg, 4.10 and 8.20 g/kg, 3.95 and 7.90 g/kg and 3.19 g.kg and 6.38 g/kg, respectively. The results indicate that low levels aP were required because the requirements of the mineral reduced as birds aged. Provided there is no excess of dietary levels of Ca, using a Ca:aP ratio of 2:1 may reduce the dietary levels of aP.Item Exigência de metionina + cistina para frangas de reposição na fase cria de sete a 12 semanas de idade(2012) D'Agostini, Priscila; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Calderano, Arele Arlindo; Mello, Heloisa Helena de Carvalho; Rostagno, Horácio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando TeixeiraThe methionine + cystine requirement was determined for pullets from seven to 12 weeks of age and its effect was verified on the laying phase. The experiment was divided into two phases, growing and production, which lasted from 22 to 33 weeks of age. In the first experimental phase we used 640 birds (50% and 50% Lohmann LSL Lohmann Brown) allotted in a completely randomized factorial scheme 5x2 (methionine + cystine levels and lineages), with four replications and 16 birds per repetition. The levels of total methionine + cystine studied were 0.471; 0.541; 0.611; 0.681 e 0.751%. When they reached 22 weeks of age, 240 birds were used to verify the residual effect of the diets fed during the growth period. The level of methionine + cystine for white-egg and brown-egg pullets in the period from 1 to 6 weeks of age were 0.710% of total methionine + cystine (0.639 % met+cis digestible) and 0.706 % of total methionine + cystine (0.635 % of met+cis digestible), respectively.Item Exigência de metionina + cistina para frangas de reposição na fase inicial (1 a 6 semanas de idade)(José Henrique Stringhini, 2017) D´Agostini, Priscila; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Mello, Heloisa Helena de Carvalho; Calderano, Arele Arlindo; Sá, Luciano Moraes; Rostagno, Horacio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando TeixeiraAn experiment was carried out to evaluate the requirement of methionine +cystine for growing pullets at starter phase (1 to 6 weeks old) and its effect on the laying phase. In the first experiment, 720 birds (50% Lohmann LSL and 50% Lohmann Brown) at one week of age were distributed on a completely randomized design, 5 x 2 factorial arrangement (levels of met + cys and strain), with four replications and 18 birds each. The levels of total methionine + cystine studied were 0.536; 0.616; 0.696; 0.776; and 0.856 %. At 22 weeks of age, 240 birds were used for the second experimental phase. The diets given to birds at this phase was the same for all the treatments. In the production phase, the residual effects of the experimental diets provided during the initial phase on the production parameters were evaluated. The level of methionine + cystine recommended for white-egg and brown-egg pullets in the period from 1 to 6 weeks of age are 0.778 % of total methionine + cystine (0.700% met + cis digestible) and 0.739% of total methionine + cystine (0.665% of digestible methionine + cystine), respectively.Item Exigência de metionina + cistina para frangas de reposição na fase recria de 13 a 18 semanas de idade(2012) D'Agostini, Priscila; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Mello, Heloisa Helena de Carvalho; Calderano, Arele Arlindo; Sá, Luciano Moraes; Rostagno, Horácio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando TeixeiraTThe methionine + cystine requirement was determined for pullets from 13 to 18 weeks of age and its effect was verified on the laying phase. In the growing phase 560 birds (50% and 50% Lohmann LSL Lohmann Brown) at 13 to 18 weeks of age were distributed in a completely randomized factorial scheme 5x2 (methionine + cystine levels and lineages), with four replications and 14 birds per repetition. The levels of total methionine + cystine studied were 0.399, 0.469, 0.539, 0.609 and 0.679%. When they reached 22 weeks of age, 240 birds were used to assess the residual effects of the diets offered in the growing phase on performance of poultry, egg production and quality. Considering the production phase, there was no effect of the inclusion of methionine + cystine levels in the diet for both strains. The total methionine and cysteine was 0.679% (0.611% of digestible methionine + cystine) for light birds and 0.646% (0.581% methionine + cystine digestible) for brown-egg pullets.Item Níveis nutricionais de metionina+cistina digestível para poedeiras leves no segundo ciclo de produção(2011) Schmidt, Marlene; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Rostagno, Horacio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando Teixeira; Nunes, Ricardo Vianna; Mello, Heloisa Helena de CarvalhoIt was conducted an experiment with the objective of setting the nutritional requirement of methionine+cystine for white-egg laying hens in the second production cycle. It was used 180 white-egg laying hens from 79 to 95 weeks of age submitted to a basal diet deficient in methionine+cystine, supplemented with 0.00; 0.053; 0.108; 0.161 or 0.214% of DL-methionine (98%) to provide 0.490; 0.542; 0.594; 0.648 and 0.698% of digestible methionine+cystine in the rations. Levels of supplementation followed ratios of methionine+cystine:lysine of 75, 83, 91, 99 and 107 with lysine fixed at 0.653%. A complete randomized design with five levels of methionine + cystine was used, with six replicates and six birds per experimental unit. Levels of methionine+cystine in the ration linearly affected feed conversion per dozen of eggs and mass of eggs, laying rate, egg mass and albumen index and they quadratically affected weight of eggs and Haugh unity. Percentage of components of the eggs was not affected by levels of methionine+cystine in the ration. Requirement of methionine+cystine for white-egg laying hens is higher than 0.698%, which corresponds to a consumption of at least 796 mg/bird/day.Item Níveis nutricionais de treonina digestível para poedeiras comerciais durante o segundo ciclo de postura(2010) Cupertino, Edwiney Sebastião; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Vargas Júnior, José Geraldo de; Albino, Luiz Fernando Teixeira; Schmidt, Marlene; Mello, Heloisa Helena de CarvalhoAn experiment was carried out to estimate the optimum level of digestible threonine for white-egg and brown-egg laying hens in the second laying cycle. It was used 360 laying hens, 180 were white-egg and 180 were brownegg laying hens which were distributed in a complete randomized design in 5 × 2 factorial arrangement (5 levels threonine × 2 lines of laying hens). The levels of digestible threonine used were the following: 0.380, 0.413, 0.445, 0.478 and 0.511%. It was evaluated performance data (production, egg weight and mass), egg components (albumen, yolk and shell), egg internal quality (Haugh units, albumen and yolk indexes) and percentage of non-commercial eggs and body weight parameters. Through the obtained results, it was estimated for white-egg laying hens, levels of digestible threonine of 0.446%, which matches a daily intake of 487 mg/hens and a lysine: threonine relationship equal to 68; for brown-egg laying hens, the estimate level of digestible threonine was 0.465% with a daily intake of 505 mg/hens and a lysine: threonine relationship of 71. By comparing the relationship mg digestible threonine per gram of produced eggs, values of 9.5 and 10.0 mg threonine/gram egg are estimate; gram of produced egg.Item Requirement of available phosphorus by female broiler chickens keeping the calcium:available phosphorus ratio at 2:1(2012) Mello, Heloisa Helena de Carvalho; Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Rostagno, Horacio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando Teixeira; Oliveira, Rita Flávia Miranda de; Rocha, Tatiana Cristina da; Ribeiro, Cleverson Luís NascimentoFour trials were conducted to determine the requirements of available phosphorus (aP) of female broiler chicks from 1 to 10 (exp.1), 11 to 21 (exp.2), 22 to 33 (exp.3), and from 34 to 46 (exp.4) days of age, keeping the calcium: available phosphorus ratio equal to 2:1. In each trial, 480 Cobb broilers were randomly allotted in a completely randomized design with 6 treatments, 8 replicates and 10 birds per pen. The levels of aP ranged from 2.0 to 5.5 g/kg (Exp. 1), 1.9 to 5.4g/kg (exp. 2), 1.8 to 5.3 g/kg (exp. 3) and 1.7 to 5.2 g/kg of diet (exp. 4), in increments of 0.7 g/kg. The experimental diets were formulated using corn and soybean meal and the available phosphorus was considered 33% of total phosphorus. The characteristics evaluated were body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio and bone parameters. For female broiler chicks from 1 to 10; 11 to 21; 22 to 33; and from 34 to 46 days of age, the levels of available phosphorus and calcium recommended are 4.59 and 9.18; 3.88 and 7.76; 3.58 and 7.16; and 2.56 and 5.12 g/kg of diet, respectively.Item Valores de aminoácidos digestíveis de alimentos para aves(2010) Gomes, Paulo Cezar; Generoso, Rafaela Antonia Ramos; Rostagno, Horácio Santiago; Albino, Luiz Fernando Teixeira; Brumano, Gladstone; Mello, Heloisa Helena de CarvalhoThis experiment was carried out to determine the values of the real digestibility coefficients of amino acids by using the method of “forced feed” with cecectomized roosters. The studied food were the following: rice bran, whole rice meal, corn, sorghum, wheat bran, soybean meal, cotton meal 28%, cotton meal 38%, yeast sugar cane 43% and yeast sugar cane 40%. The mean values of real digestibility coefficients of essential and non-essential amino acids were, in percentage, the following: for rice bran, 77.53 and 67.21; for rice meal, 73.33 and 52.54; for corn, 84.65 and 74.42; for sorghum, 84.48 and 67.29; for wheat bran, 70.75 and 48.55; for soybean meal, 89.37 and 85.22; for cotton meal 28%, 74.85 and 74.13; for cotton meal 38%, 77.50 and 72.46; for yeast sugar cane 43%, 49.16 and 48.63; and yeast sugar cane 40%, 46.03 and 38.88. The values of the coefficients of real digestibility of essential and nonessential amino acids of feedstuffs studied allow to formulate more efficient rations for birds.
