Resumo
A brief evaluation and historical path of interdisciplinarity are built. Surveys the principal authors of the interdisciplinary movement, to understand the need of interdisciplinary relations between the postmodern sciences. Addresses the origin and historical trajectory of Information Science and Science Communication, in order to understand the interdisciplinary issue of Information Science entitled to it since its inception. This in order to contextualize these sciences in the paradigm shifts that have happened with the knowledge. As a tool to identify the object, that is, the interdisciplinary relationships between Information Science and Science Communication was used bibliometrics, with citation analysis and cocitação. To verify, we sought in the theses of the two best graduate programs in the area of Information Science and Communication Science of Brazil, this according to CAPES. Lifting the keywords, banking title and the references cited in the thesis was identified interdisciplinary relations between the two areas, this according to criteria established in this research. From, the data analysis is concluded that relations are presented timidly between areas analyzed. In addition, we noticed greater openness of Information Science for interdisciplinarity in relation to Science Communication.
