Resumo
In 1992, Globo TV Network showed the miniseries “Anos Rebeldes”, and there were also public
demonstrations pro-impeachment of President Fernando Collor de Mello, in which students made
veiled and deliberate references to the TV series. From the obvious link between these two events, the
article discusses the use of television fiction as a source that can reveal aspects of Brazilian “historical
culture.”
