Resumo
The analysis of the America independence process makes possible to observe that the political estrategies taken by Portuguese America, on this side, and by Hispanic America, on the other side, motivated the culture of denial among these portions of American territory. ln order to identify, in a contemporaniam speech, the denial afirmation the epistolary of Simon Boli var was elected like source. lo such case, this articlc prescnts the speech instituted in the letters ofthis important leadership, considering especially the references of images dedicated to Brazilian monarchy.
