Resumo
The present research sought to analyze and evaluate blogs related to the environment and whether they meet the criteria proposed by the literature for the evaluation of sources of information on the Internet. For the execution of this research, a literature review was carried out on information, information retrieval and retrieval, information sources, electronic sources, environmental information, organizations as sources of information and evaluation of sources of information on the Internet. From this review, we chose to use the criteria and parameters proposed by Alvim (2007) and Jimenez Hidalgo and Salvador Bruna (2007) for the quality evaluation of blogs. Google searches were performed using the descriptors "environment" and "sustainability" in the period from October 24 to November 2, 2016, obtaining a sample of twenty blogs. The research constitutes as applied, descriptive, exploratory, has a quantitative approach and for the collection of data a systematic observation of the objects was carried out. It analyzes theme, content, access and ease of use, public and objectives, dissemination and visibility. It was verified that blogs analyzed are mostly managed by individual professionals, 65% were created in standard platforms and 35% were not updated.
