Resumo
In this paper I try to demonstrate how the Paideia issue is set by Plato in the constitution
of a philosophic Paideia as the truly education. To understand its originality I situate Plato’s
pedagogical thought in the debate that develops with the culture of his time, with the
sophists, educators that used to sell their knowledge and saw in erudition the essence of
paideia.
