Resumo
This paper is based on presuppositions of French Discourse Analysis. In it the metaphor of
a tattoo is used to demonstrate how utterances color the school memories of three authors,
as they evoke their memories in autobiographic texts. These texts are analyzed from the
perspective of autobiography, writing about oneself and self-designation. The study sets out
to investigate and at the same time problematize the socio-historical conditions, which make
possible and/or determine that one particular text is produced and not another.
