Resumo
It reports on the experience of structuring a citizen and inclusive
library for recycling material collectors with low schooling
levels. Strategies are presented so that the group can
appropriate and see themselves as an essential actor and participator of the library's structuring process, through the
affective bond with this cultural equipment. In terms of the
approach used, it is characterized as an action-research. The
diagnosis encountered made it possible to identify the
characteristics of the group as well as their difficulties. The basis
for the development of all action is the need for awakening the
group´s sense of belonging and ownership. Having this as our
basis, the complementary actions to the project were structured
in the following categories: Social inclusion and literacy as well
as culture and incentive to reading, so that the library can play
it's sociocultural role in the community. Up to the present
moment, actions developed in partnership with the
Educational Office of The State of Goias include the opening of
classes for the literacy of youths and adults and the
implementation of digital inclusion workshops. The physical
environment of the library hasn´t been built yet, but the
acquisition and organization of the collection is already in
progress.
