Lente para mirar estrelas: mulheres e afetividades negras

Abstract

We argue in this article that black feminism is a way of looking at the world with strong potential to bring to the discussion historically silenced and invisible issues. Speaking of black women from the lens of black feminism brings dimensions of black and female existence that cannot be separated. Therefore, we make use of intersectionalities and a literature review focused on productions of black feminists. Seeking to understand how racism and gender bias work against black women is a complex exercise that can shed new light on contemporary studies. We thus deal with legal, relational, and knowledge production issues by betting that representativeness matters and new writing is urgent.
