Uma leitura ecolinguística de "Se eu quiser falar com Deus" de Gilberto Gil

Abstract

The objective of this article is to show what the version of ecolinguistics known as ecosystemic linguistics has all the categories necessary for the analysis of literary texts-discourses, even if the prototypical manifestation of language in its view is the dialogue. With the help of concepts taken from Benveniste and Bakhtin we argue that even apparently “monological” texts-discourses may be looked at from a dialogical perspective. Taking Gilberto Gil’s “Se eu quiser falar com Deus”, including ecosystemic linguistics’ graphic representation we try to show how this can be done. During the production of the text-discourse, there is a dialogue between the author and his alter-ego. After completion of the text, a dialogue with the other becomes possible as, for instance, with a common reader or a critic. In the case of Gil’s text, the author presents it to an audience together with a melody attached to it. In this moment, there is the reaction of the audience, and this means that a dialogue with the other took place, no more a dialogue of the author with himself.
