Resumo
The present research it aimed to evaluate the levels of cadmium, lead, copper, chrome, iron,
manganese, nickel and zinc in soil and leaves of Brachiaria decumbens Stapf., in areas of pastures under influence the
highways with different traffics of vehicles and in an area control, in the State of Goiás. The areas of pastures located on
the margins of BR-153, the GO-222 and in the “Parque Estadual Altamiro de Moura Pacheco (PEAMP)”. Soil
samples were collected, in the depths of 0-10 cm and 10-20 cm, and of leaves of B. decumbens in the treatments BR-
153, GO-222 and PEAMP (testifies), with four replicates each, with removals of 10 m, 25 m, 40 m of the highways (BR-153 and
GO-222). The values resulting of the chemical analyses were submitted to the statistical analysis. The obtained results
indicated that the average levels of heavy metals and micronutrients analysis did not characterize the occurrence of
contamination in these environments due to its content. At the witness area, the levels of elements are equivalent to those
obtained in other treatments. The irregular behavior of the average levels of the elements in all treatments, hindered, in
part, to better define whether its origins are natural or anthropogenic sources.
