The whole history of mankind is, above all, the
history of migration. Leave it right and know the
other: place, time, way of life. Be other than what
you still are. Be multiple. Never to be. Forced
migration is political persecution by the exile.
Human feeling which is more common in the
history of exiles: fear or impotence? Those
sensational moments when we realize how
incredibly tiny we can only the two actions of
those who feel the inevitable defeat: to flee or
hide. This is what makes the mouse. Hiding,
feeling like Lezama Lima, stuck in the oven in
his internal exile. Ridiculously designed to not
leave the nest, because the appearance is a
disappearance. "Cuba is frustrated in its essence
political." Lezama turned to poetry. Or, part
towards each other. Briefly appears and
disappears forever. In all cases, out of the
woodwork with haste or desperation eyes shut
until the last reserve of cheese runs out are the
attitudes of rats. Feeling mouse in a threatening
world is the attitude required of all expatriates.
