Observações sobre o ataque da azochis gripusalis walker 1859 (pyraustidae - lepidoptera) em fícus carica l. (moraceare)

Abstract

This papar about Azochis gripusalis Wal k.er, 1859 (Pyraustidae - Lepidoptera). was the first to das cribe the ocurrênce of this pest in Paraná State, Brezil. It was observed initially that larvae were attackinr 􀇡· sarica trees in one of the districts of Curiti ba, Paraná, Brazil, and subsequantly a survey of their ocuE. rence was carried out in 14 municipal districts near Curiti ba. The observations began in February 1972, and continued until March 1973, when complete biological e􀀴 ele of two generations, in winter and summer, was obtained. ln the sarne area a survey was carried out of the demage caused by 􀊖- gripusalis. in the winter and summer generations: b/ comparing the number of attacke and bealt-y growing points i-t was observe·d that in the· whinter the attacke was 46,6% and in the summer, 43,4%. It was also faund that the sarne larva can attacke more than one growing point during life, causing considerable damage.
