Resumo
In the theory and criticism of the trope of demonization of women, her transformation in
monstrous represents one of the most significant aspects of the configuration of medieval misogynist
discourse. The article examines this process of teratological engendering of the medieval feminine
based on the sayings of the Malleus maleficarum about the original relationship between woman and evil
embodied in the witch or sorceress figure and her monstrous partnership with the Devil in the late
Middle Ages.
