Traços de negritude: autorretratos em xilogravura

Abstract

Through the creation of self-portraits with woodcut matrices, I develop sensitive work on issues that affect me, thus going beyond the aspect of what is visible. I portray elements that, over time, have been permeated by uncertainties and fears, dealing with issues of representation from various perspectives. Artistic experiments were carried out, where woodcut is the main expressive language, complemented by various theoretical and historical references, with the aim of reflecting on the emergence of this practice in the contemporary artistic field
