Extração do óleo essencial do abacaxi como proposta de experimentação para alunos com deficiência visual

Resumo

The extraction process to obtain essential oils can enable the teaching of various contents related to situations of students' daily life. However, for students with visual impairment (DV) this activity becomes exclusive because it uses vision as the main means of data collection. Containing elementsof action research, the present research proposes the use of audiodescription accompanied by the collection of data by the remaining senses and the use of assistive technology of laboratory as cultural tools for the interpretation of the experiment involving the extraction of essential oil from the shell of the pineapple. Our results point out that such tools can contribute to the inclusion of VD in the activity, to familiarize with specific tools and techniques of this culture and the critical distance from everyday knowledge contributing to the learning of school contents and to the citizen training.
