Estudos sobre Lean Manufacturing no Agronegócio: uma revisão sistemática de literatura

Resumo

Although agribusiness is an important segment of the Brazilian economy, permeated by varied and distinct production systems, few studies investigate Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools in its activities. This study aimed to map the research published between 2018 and 2022 on the topic of Lean, carried out in the context of agribusiness activities, identifying their main results and possible research gaps. Using a specific protocol for systematic literature review and searches in the Scopus database for empirical and theoretical articles in English and Portuguese, 53 works were initially identified. However, 47 articles were excluded because they did not address Lean applications in agribusiness. The six studies that constituted the final sample were mostly carried out in the form of case studies, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Despite being explored, applications of Lean tools in agribusiness present significant results that contribute to the elimination of waste, improvement of production efficiency, product quality, and improvement of worker ergonomics. The paths for future research involve replicating the studies analyzed here and carrying out longitudinal interventionist studies to apply the most common Lean techniques in this segment, such as Continuous Flow, Kaizen, Total Quality Management, Poka Yoke, Standardized Work, Pull Production and Supply Chain Integration.
