Resumo
The 1991 North American documentary film Paris is Burning, directed by Jennie Livingston, is one of the main milestones for the LGBTQIA + community in the spread of the queer culture. Even 30 years after the release of the work, its importance extends to the present day, still being a reference for the production of new films, tv shows, visual and graphic projects, and several others. Its approach highlights the experiences and behavior of a group previously strongly marginalized by the popular mass, using a unique aesthetic, a consequence of the environment they are inserted. Thereby, the objective of this project is to make a commemorative book using design as a tool to revisit concepts and meanings of the movie. For this, the development is based on the methodological approach presented by Passos (2014), which unfolds in the phases of theoretical research, delimitation of the object, knowledge of the object and development of the object.
