Mapeamento temático da análise de assunto: um estudo das abordagens em artigos de periódicos da área de Biblioteconomia e ciência da informação

Abstract

Objectives: The study aims to map the procedure of subject analysis in the scientific production in the area of Library and Information Science, raise journal articles with the theme subject analysis, aiming to enunciate in the literature the procedure of subject analysis for indexing purposes, enabling to identify the approaches about the subject analysis in the literature studied. Methodology: It is a bibliographical, exploratory descriptive research of an of a quali-quantitative approach with the application of Systematic Literature Review and Content Analysis to journal articles collected by the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science - (BRAPCI) through the search for the themes "Subject Analysis", "Documentary Analysis", "Conceptual Analysis", "Thematic Analysis" and "Information Analysis". I gathered a corpus of 30 articles. Results: Presents the terminological variations that the theme of "Subject Analysis" encompasses, present also in the title and in the keywords, evidencing that subject analysis has prominence relative to the other terms. It describes the level at which subject analysis is developed in the content of the articles. Conclusion: The research identified good contemplations about subject analysis, but in most of them it is treated at a secondary level or even vague, highlighting the need for description at the main level.
