Da luz à matéria pictórica

Abstract

The present research has a practical-theoretical character and constitutes a reflection on my artistic process, which has painting as its poetic matrix over a period of 4 years. With the aim of understanding how the image materializes in painting, dialogues were held with artists who address materiality, memory, and the representation of social roles in painting, as well as studies related to form, content, and artistic material based on the philosopher Luigi Pareyson. Emphasis is placed on materiality and image as a means of presenting painting, highlighting the importance of confronting the resistances imposed by the process.
