Parentalidade LGBTQIA+: a estruturação das funções parentais na contemporaneidade

Abstract

The advent of contemporaneity brought with it a series of social transformations and conquests of rights for marginalized groups, among them the legalization of marriage between individuals of the same gender and the possibility of adoption and constitution of families. Therefore, the present work investigates the structuring of parental functions in contemporary times, in view of the emergence of LGBTQIA+ families. Therefore, from the psychoanalytic perspective, it is intended to understand if sexual and gender identities interfere in the psychic structuring of parental functions .The methodological procedure used for the study was qualitative, based on bibliographic research. From the data analysis, it was found that parental roles can be performed by any subject, gender and sexual orientation are not defining elements of the role to be occupied.
