Resumo
Geotourism is a segment of tourism that has been studied more specifically since the 2000s, since it has as its main attraction Geology and Geomorphology. The objective of this article is to present this segment to give an alternative income to the population of the Municipality of São Domingos, Goiás State, Brazil, and to establish inventory as a main tool for the development of this segment. besides being a form of conservation of the landscape. The present article has been substantiated in bibliographical researches about the region, as well as data of the formal institutions for the production of cartographic products, besides two visits in the field for the appropriate observations and photographic records. Having as a result the affirmation that the municipality has the potential to attract tourists based on its scenic beauties and therefore generates income for the local population.
