O surgimento do parkour em Goiânia: da marginalidade à institucionalização

Abstract

The objective of this article is to describe and analyze how the process of insertion and dissemination of parkour occurred in the city of Goiânia, Goiás. It starts from the understanding that parkour is a contemporary physical practice that has a close connection with the digital world and the internet. In this context, from a methodological point of view, it assumes the idea that the internet and social media can be spaces that offer important information about how parkour arrived and established itself in Goiânia. The research results demonstrated that the historical process of this practice in the city of Goiânia occurred in a contradictory and plural way, but also in a particularized way, since its genesis was due to specific individuals.
