Aspectos da violência infantil durante a Covid-19 em um estado da Amazônia legal

Resumo

This study investigated CAR-T cell therapy in gliomas, the most common primary central neoplasm in adults. This is a therapy in which T cells are collected from the peripheral blood of patients or donors and then genetically modified in vitro to express the chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). This binding of CAR to target antigens expressed on the cell surface results in vigorous activation of T cells and powerful antitumor responses, leading to tumor destruction. This study aimed to elucidate the current perspectives on CAR-T cell immunotherapy in gliomas. The methodology adopted involved a systematic review of the literature guided by the PRISMA method, in the databases: PubMed and Periódicos Capes and, at the end of the search, 31 studies were obtained. The study showed that gliomas are intra-axial brain tumors with a high recurrence rate, with a tendency to spread diffusely throughout the brain tissue. This dissemination makes treatment difficult and surgical removal of the tumor is extremely challenging, often making it impossible to completely remove the tumor mass. The introduction of new therapies, such as the use of CAR-T cells, is relevant, given the greater specificity and potential for personalized treatment, representing a promising alternative to overcome the limitations of conventional therapies. However, there is also a need for further studies to ensure greater patient safety, greater specificity and efficacy.
