Resumo
This article proposes approach the relations between the native art and the strengthening of
ethnic identity, on the assumption that on the indigenous artistic act, as a resistance language,
constitutes as rich cultural patrimony in whom the landscape functions as aesthetic element,
identifying and situating the people’s ethnicity. That way, we will do a priori reflections about
concepts of art, of development and of preservation of the cultural roots starting from relations among
subject, history and society to, subsequently, to make considerations about the identity markings
contained in their wealth and diversity of the art produced by indigenous inhabitingt Karaja Buridina
community in Aruana, Goias, Brazil. The results show the educational concept of the indigenous
artistic act as rescue of cultural losses through Art education for the younger generations.
