Resumo
In this graduation paper I set out to study two utopias developed throughout history: The first is the Utopia described by Thomas Morus, in the 16th century - the first written Utopia that is known - and the second is the Utopia of David Harvey, written in a contemporary context, in the end of the 20th century. From these two readings, I created freehand sketches about specific scenarios in the city of Goiânia, through which I trace
speculations about what these spaces would be like if some utopian principles were adopted in them. By appropriating and applying the main points debated within the works of utopian cities studied, I seek to problematize and question controversial aspects about current practices in the construction of a contemporary
city. I seek to raise, point out and represent an Utopian city in Goiânia that is more welcoming, sustainable
and healthy for everyone. At the end of the process, the theoretical texts that served as basis and inspiration, ended up being expanded into more personal and comprehensive propositions, from my own concerns about the necessary and indispensable characteristics that define a city as pleasant and pleasant to live. In this sense, I did not restrict myself exclusively to the descriptions given by Morus and Harvey, and I tried
to extrapolate them in the representations of Goiânia Utópica made by me.
