Resumo
The most common technique for making panels resulting from complex geometries from irregular architectural surfaces feasible has been tessellation. This polygon splitting technique enables the execution of panels for facades, space structures, brises, decorative elements, etc. The division aims at forming flat pieces, without aesthetic distortions and with a relative loss of smoothness in the initial formation. This division cannot be arbitrary, since the set of forms should preferably be within a finite number and more easily determined. The following tests are performed: study of the initial tessellation approach, discretizing operation, Gaussian analysis, optimizing operation and, finally, legitimizing the result. These operations make it possible to construct the irregular architectural shape (variable in relation to the scale) by simplifying geometric shapes at very specific levels. The research results show reflections in order to make the construction of complex surfaces feasible, organizing the subdivision in stages to ensure satisfactory feasibility: ease of execution of parts, handling and transportation logistics, compatibility between the structure and the seal, execution on site.
