| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this study was to discuss the use of the term “resistance” in works associated with the agrarian issue in Brazil and Latin America that deal with peasant action, including reflections on traditional communities, especially in the Cerrado. It is intended, then, to understand the way in which the subjects establish social and environmental relations in their daily lives. The methodological orientation starts from the analysis of articles, dissertations and theses published in thearea of Agrarian Geography and Human Sciences. The theoretical approach is based on the principles of Environmental Geography and Political Ecology. The results show that it is possible to conceive another conceptual dimension in the relationship established between the peasants as a social class and their participation in the environmental context, as they practice what will be defended as Socio-Environmental Resistance. | |
| dc.description.resumo | Objetivou-se com o presente trabalho discutir o uso do termo “resistência” nos trabalhos associados à questão agrária no Brasil e na América Latina que tratam da ação camponesa, incluindo reflexões sobre comunidades tradicionais, sobretudo no Cerrado. Pretende-se, então, compreender o modo pelo qual os sujeitos estabelecem relações sociais e ambientais de seu cotidiano. A orientação metodológica parte da análise de artigos, dissertações e teses publicados na área de Geografia Agrária e Ciências Humanas. A abordagem teórica pauta-se nos princípios da Geografia Ambiental e da Ecologia Política. Os resultados apontam que é possível conceber outra dimensão conceitual na relação estabelecida entre os camponeses enquanto classe social e a participação deles no contexto ambiental, pois praticam o que será defendido como Resistência Socioambiental. | |
