Descrição e documentação fonológica das variedades do Nheengatu no Amazonas

Abstract

This article presents results of the research carried out by the project Description and Documentation of Nheengatu Varieties in Amazonas, funded by CNPq, on the varieties of Nheengatu do Amazonas in three regions of the state where there are speakers with different degrees of proficiency. In this work, we deal with the phonetic-phonological description and documentation of Nheengatu in the regions of the Upper Negro River, the Middle Amazon River and the Middle Solimões River with the theoretical assumption as the descriptive linguistics for the description and analysis of the data and as the methodology the ethnographic research based on the research field for data collection in the three regions.
