Resumo

With this article we intend to present a remote teaching experience, due to the covid 19 pandemic in 2020, in the discipline Space, Communication and Society, taught at the Federal University of Goiás, in the first semester of 2020, through a partnership between the Journalism and Geography courses at the Faculty of Information and Communication. At the time, using the Google Meet platform, the chronicle genre – which transits between journalism and literature – was worked on to motivate students to write about their citizenship experiences in the context of the pandemic. In the ninety-eight chronicles produced by them and in the three virtual soirees organized within the scope of the discipline, there was, above all, synesthesias referring to the territories and places in which the students lived and lived in the context of the pandemic. Furthermore, the texts included reflections on coexistence with the other in an urban reality, almost always in the metropolis, marked by social distancing. In the course, at the same time, the teachers and teaching trainees worked with three strands that, although distinct, were complementary: with the teaching of a textual genre, the chronicle; with the operationalization of geographic categories, such as territory, place and landscape; and, finally, with the symbiosis between geography, journalism and literature to narrate the city. The main objective of this article is that we think, from an interdisciplinary pedagogical practice, how literary writing, articulated with journalism and geographic categories, can be effective in building resistance in the oppressive context of a neglected pandemic. We conclude that the articulation between literary art and journalistic factual – one of the characteristics of the chronicle – is an effective narrative strategy to reach the complexity of reality, which involves, above all in the context of covid 19, pains and losses, small hopes and joys
