Do imaginário ao papel: Teresa Bicuda em uma obra infantojuvenil com ilustrações

Abstract

Brazilian legends abound with original and unique stories that reflect the country’s rich cultural diversity. While many of these tales are widely known and celebrated, others —no matter how fascinating— remain hidden from much of today’s population. This TCC aims not only to create a new interpretation of the Goiás legend Teresa Bicuda but also to develop an illustrated children’s and young adult book based on this narrative. To achieve this goal, detailed research will be conducted using a product design methodology throughout the creative process. This approach seeks to ensure that the final work remains faithful to the legend’s essence while remaining accessible to young readers. Ultimately, the project intends to produce an engaging and innovative work that offers a new generation the opportunity to explore and enjoy Goiás’s rich cultural heritage, while also contributing to cultural education, raising awareness of the importance of Brazilian folklore, and promoting women’s empowerment.
