Abstract

The text tells us about the relation between region and re­gionalism, through of a vision of totality, where the concept of region is built in a perspective of relation among social, ,economic and politics processes. Based in the analysis of criation of UDR (Rural Democratic Union) questioned about the existence or not of a regional identity of the "West-Center" reqion. This identity is put how a result of dinamism of social and cultural bases that permeat the relation between space and politics influencing thus, in regional limits of territory.
