A metaficção revisitada: uma introdução

Abstract

Having in mind the various studies done in the latest four decades on the notion of metafiction and its neighboring forms, the different critical and theoretical perspectives on this issue, as well as the myriad of terms used to designate this type of narrative, the present paper offers an introductory revision of this subject, starting from the examination of some of its basic assumption, some of the aforementioned terms, as well as of the metafiction/postmodernism relation.
