Resumo
This work aims the development of a Smartwatch for people with visual impairment. The device was implemented in a way that it could be used without the need of the sight. In this way, its possible to access its resources through voice commands. The project consists of a watch fitted with sensors to measure body temperature and heart rate along with a smartphone app that connects with the watch through a bluetooth connection. The user interaction with the device is made using the phone app through voice commands. The prototype was built based on the Arduino platform and some other devices, like sensors, and the low cost of the components was another requirement. The Smartwatch developed in this project shows us that, with little changes, this technology could be accessible for an increasing number of people.
